Heavy equipment continued working the soil at 27th Ave. and Del Rio, while another crew removed remnants of the railroad bridge at Willow Slough south of Charlie Jensen Park. The bridge crew said they didn’t know when the new prefabricated steel truss bridge would be in place.
Meanwhile, Apple Maps has added the Del Rio Trail to its dataset. According to the app, the “trailhead” is in Meadowview. Directions, however, take users to Park Village and 35th Ave. The website link goes to the City of Sacramento, and the listed phone number is for senior engineer Adam Randolph.
The official construction website hasn’t been updated since April 14, 2023.
